Oh, so close!
You have to allow http://betwittered.com. 32Hours.com isn’t the host server for BeTwittered. I segregated them because of the very high bandwidth BeTwittered needs to use.

I tried purging the betwittered cookie and ‘allowing’ and security to ‘accept’ 32hours.com.

Broken on MSIE8, Chrome; OK on FireFox

My Be Twitter logged out and wont let me log back in. It says “Cookie error: Is your browser allowing cookies from http://betwittered.com ?”

What to do? please e-mail me response.

I understand your sentiment, and thanks for sharing your thoughts. In this case, I was out of town for my job and didn’t have much (if any) free time. Based on your comment, I think I’ll should leave some sort of message when I may be unavailable. Since it’s really just me, that’s probably a very good idea.

For now, I’m working on a fix for those times (usually Mondays) that Twitter bogs down, then BeTwittered.com starts to go belly up. I think I may have a fix pretty quickly.

With all due respect, twitter has been unpredictable enough. It’s odd when twitter is working fine and Betwittered is not. More complaining on the twittersphere today about it. (See link above.)

It would be helpful if you a) responded to threads like this or b) had some status on your site so we wouldn’t be wondering what is going on.

In the meantime I am trying out your competitors.

Hi Daniele,

I did a lot of work troubleshooting and did get the speed back to where it was before the update. That was tough because I’d added a lot of stuff. I’m glad it’s done!

On my TODO list there are a few things regarding the gadget size. Two key things are configurable height, and canvas mode. I have a couple changes in the queue ahead of them (some fixes to replies and DM’s) but they aren’t too far out…

Hi Carey,

I’m working hard on the server load problems. I may actually have to roll back to the old version of BeTwittered until I figure it out. Sorry for the hassle.

Cookie problems: With Safari, there is simply a limitation in the browser that will not allow you to add exceptions for some web sites. There is nothing BeTwittered can do to work around that directly. I may actually figure out a nice way to have BeTwittered send you directly to http://betwittered.com/betwittered to login and change settings. It’s not a real elegant way to go, but I don’t know of a way around that.

Workaround: Visit http://betwittered.com/betwittered directly and login there (don’t laugh, it will look rediculous as a full page!) The next time you visit iGoogle or reload the iGoogle page, BeTwittered will login. You can do the same to change settings, too.

I used to love betwittered for my iGoogle page. After recently experiencing login issues (cookie error as mentioned in other posts), I came here to see if there was a solution. I see there is a solution, but not one that I like. I don’t want to set Safari to accept ALL cookies. If that’s the only solution, I’m sad to say that I will be looking for an alternate twitter interface.
