I'm very sorry to say, I accidentally mixed the beta version into production, and then fixed it. The "fix" removed the buttons. They should disappear completely as soon as the browser cache, and the google cache both expire. I'm almost done with the beta, and will be adding a couple more features while I'm at it. This means the new buttons will return, and more.

Anyone can, by the way, use the beta. In iGoogle, click "add stuff" and search for PreBetwittered. You can actually run both, if you like.

My error: I left a beta reference in the production version. I recently released a new beta. When I did that, the beta version would occasionally pull a "body snatcher" routine and take over. I apologize for the hassle and the "tease"

I'm having a problem with the new buttons. They'll show up the first time I sign in but if I close iGoogle and go back to it I'm still signed in but the buttons are gone?

For some reason, now that the icons are snazzy, I've now noticed them!

Thank you for a great free gadget.

Hi Onefifth,

Nice catch! Thanks very much for pointing it out. I simply hadn't run in to this, and now that you point it out, I'm actually amazed that I hadn't. I will add a check for punctuation and fix this up.

Thanks,
Robert

Love the update, a solid addition.

I'm not sure of the correct place to be submitting a bug report, but when URL's are converted to hyperlinks in twitter posts, BeTwittered incorrectly includes punctuation in the link, more often than not causing a 404 error.

A post such as "An amazing site I found: http://www.google.com." would incorrectly link to "google.com." as opposed to "google.com" The twitter main site hyperlinks work correctly under these conditions, making it seem to be an issue with BeTwittered.

Hi Clarisa,

That is usually a sign that betwittered isn't being allowed to write cookies. That is where your username and password (encrypted) are stored. Check to see that your browser is allowing 3rd party cookies and cookies from betwittered.com.

If you are still having any trouble, please let me know here, or via the feedback button in BeTwittered (the email icon)

Thanks,
Robert

I changed computers recently and my BeTwittered is somehow not working on the new one. It's stuck on the user/name screen, and even tho I am providing the right one, it won't load my tweets, only the user/name screen.

It feels like groundhog day!
